Tytania
Rose

Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Tytania Rose moved to New York City at seventeen on a scholarship to Parsons School of Design, where she trained in illustration, animation. Her early career in fashion took her from New York City and Los Angeles — where she worked in couture design and fashion styling — to Milan, where she ran her own accessories design company. It was in London, completing an MA in Sustainable Textiles at Chelsea School of Design and an internship at Alexander McQueen, that her practice deepened and found its home.

Her work spans painting, collage, and drawing, with a sustained inquiry into the representation, power, and iconography of women — their objectification, their sexual power and its abuse, and the sacred feminine across world cultures. Her current body of work explores female deities and goddesses as sites of cultural memory, spiritual authority, and reclaimed visual language.

Food became another arm of Rose's creativity in London. Without abandoning her canvas or sketchbook, she began treating the kitchen as its own kind of studio — studying at Leith's, pursuing an MSc in Food Politics, and training as a nutritional therapist. The natural world — what it gives us, what sustains us — is inseparable from her understanding of feminine beauty and depth. Wiccan mythology has long intertwined the feminine with herbs, healing, and the earth's cycles, and this connection runs quietly through her deities, her botanicals, and her food works alike. It is what brings all of her practice together as a whole: the politics of body and earth, nourishment, and adornment as a single continuous thread.
